Major Deegan north to I-87N (Adirondack Northway)
Northway (I-87) to Exit 14 (Saratoga Springs)
Keep right and merge onto NY Route 9P (Union Avenue)
Follow Union Ave to the Saratoga Race Course
Alternate Route : Get off the Northway at Exit 13N and take US Route 9 to 9P.
From Western New York:
NYS Thruway (I-90) to Exit 28 (Fultonville)
Route 30A to Johnstown (becomes Route 29E)
Route 29E to Saratoga Springs
Right onto Broadway
Left onto Spring Street
Left onto Union Avenue (9P)

Admission Cost
General Admission is $3. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Clubhouse admission is $5. Travers Day is $5 general admission and $10 Clubhouse.
Reserved seating sold separately.
Parking
General Trackside parking is $10. Most people park locally. People will charge varying prices to park on their lawn. The closer to the track, the higher the fee.
What time does the track open?
Admission gates open at 11am on weekdays and 10.30 on weekends. On Travers Day (August 27) gates open at 7am. The gates open at 7am for the Breakfast at Saratoga where you can watch the morning workouts, take a tour of the backstretch and have a delicious buffet breakfast but the track is cleared at 10am and you most pay to reenter.

What to Wear
If you are coming to hang out in the picnic area or grandstand, comfortable shoes and casual clothing is recommended. Shoes and shirts are always required. For box seats, slacks and dress shirts are preferred for the men and dresses or pants outfits for the women. The restaurants require more proper attire, no shorts, jeans, tank tops or cutoffs. Collared shirts are required for gentlemen.
Are coolers permitted?
Coolers are permitted in the backyard area and on the apron of the grandstand. Absolutely no glass containers are allowed. All coolers and carry in items are subject to inspection by NYRA Security.
When is post time?
The first post every day is 1PM except on Travers Day when the first post is at noon and on sunset racing days when the post time is at 2.30PM.
Reserved Seating
You can now reserve seats online. If you get to the Reserved Seating Office (located at the Union Ave. Gate) early, a limited amount of Grandstand seats are for sale. These seats are limited to four a person on a cash only basis.

Ask to be directed to the multiple admissions booth, which is located inside the gates near the NYRA Store (Saratoga Skills) on the first floor grandstand. Here you can purchase up to 5 additional admission coupons at $3 each, which can be redeemed for additional giveaways.
